The Gold Coast is known for its world class theme parks and Warner Brothers Movieworld certainly ranks at the top.
Movieworld provides a vast array of fun shows, rides and activities with participation being the name of the game.
You’ll see all your favourite Looney Tunes characters in the Kids WB! Fun Zone such as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck and many more, and of course you can have your photograph taken with them.
The Kids WB Fun Zone is also home to some great kid’s rides, The Looney Tunes River Ride and The Road Runner Rollercoaster (the only family rollercoaster in Australia). Especially great for those hot summer days is the Looney Tunes Splash Zone, so if you’re up for it you can get wet in this fantastic interactive water fountain.
Being a theme park based on Hollywood Movies, the shows at Movieworld are where they really come into their own. The Hollywood Stunt Driver show is an action packed thrill a minute (or more) production.
The scene is set as a Hollywood action movie prepares to film an action sequence and features some breathtaking stunts and amazing precision driving that will make you want to see more than once.
The Shrek 4D Adventure show at Movieworld is great fun, set in what appears to be a standard movie theatre, the show incorporates the use 3D glasses and specially made seats to provide a very different viewing experience.
The Looney Tunes What’s Up Rock? Show is great fun for the whole family, an animated interactive show with music and dancing. With songs like “Shake your tail feather” and “There’s no Business”, it’s a hit with kids and parents alike.
Movieworld has a number of rides for the serious thrill seeker too, with The Batwing Spaceshot launching riders over 60 metres in the air at more than 60km/h and undergoing 4.5Gs of force. Certainly not one for the faint hearted.
Another thrill seeker special is the Superman Escape ride, this roller is certainly no coaster - going from 0-100km/h in just two seconds! That’s fast in anyone’s language.
A number of G-Force inducing turns and weightless drops will also widen the eyes of even the most hardcore thrill ride aficionado.
The Lethal Weapon ride at Movieworld uses an underslung configuration to allow riders to feel their feet dangling in the air whilst being propelled at 85km/h along the 765 metre overhead track. With multiple bends loops rollovers and plunges, riders get an unsurpassed wow factor that is unique to Australia.
