Here at www.Visit-Queensland.com.au we pride ourselves on providing more than just another tourism website where you can book accommodation or a holiday.
Here we aim to ensure that visitors to Queensland have as much information as possible about Queensland and all that it offers so they can make the most of their time in our great little part of the world.
So it is a particular pleasure to find another site that has the same values as we do, www.babycastle.com.au is just such a website.
Of course this site is dedicated to all things baby-ish, but they are just as passionate about giving lots of information about the subject of Baby Showers, Baby Christenings, kids parties and more - as we are about Queensland.
Rather than just give them a plug we thought we would find out a bit more about what they do and why they are so passionate about babies.
On speaking to the owner of the website it is immediately clear that she (Marina) speaks from both experience and her heart, and with two little ones of her own, how could she not.
Marina started her web authoring adventure with another site (and subject she loves) called Birthday Cakes as a way of passing on her passion and experience to her friends and family, suffice to say that her website soon took off and is now a popular resource for many people trying their hand at cake-art.
However marina tells us that she soon realised that birthday cakes for the kids wasn’t nearly the start or the end of the story as far as having children goes, so she has now started www.BabyCastle.com.au.
We were really impressed with the amount of free baby information that is available on the site and asked Marina if she was concerned that this would reduce or inhibit its ability to make money.
Her reply was one that you could expect from enjoying the experience, “As long as it pays for itself I’ll keep it going, I’m not too worried about becoming a web entrepreneur” she says with a chuckle.
Refreshing to say the least in this day and age, so good luck to Marina from all of us here at Visit-Queensland and we hope your website does well, (we’re sure it will).
